Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 June 2025
1. Definitions
In these Terms of Service (“Terms”) the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
“ConnectHosting”, “we”, “us”, “our” — ConnectHosting.net, a trading name of Connect Hosting LTD, 14211501, Office 007, Enterprise Centre University Of Hull, Cottingham Road, Hull, England, HU6 7RX.
“Customer”, “you”, “your” — the natural or legal person who registers an account or otherwise uses the Services.
“Services” — prepaid hosting, game-server rental and any related products or support we provide.
“Agreement” — the contract formed under section 4 together with these Terms and any documents expressly incorporated by reference.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to every use of the Services. Additional rules may apply to community forums or promotional campaigns; where they conflict, those specific rules prevail.
3. Eligibility & Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally capable of forming contracts.
- During registration you must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- We may send contractual notices to the e-mail address registered to your account. Keep it current.
4. Formation of Contract
- Our website listings are invitations to treat, not offers. By pressing the “Order Now” button and completing checkout you make a binding offer to purchase the selected Services on a prepaid basis.
- The contract is formed when (i) we e-mail an order confirmation or (ii) we make the Service available and you begin using it, whichever is earlier.
- Contract language: English.
5. Fees & Payment
- All prices are stated in euros (EUR) and include any applicable UK VAT unless otherwise noted.
- Services are prepaid. You must top-up sufficient credit to your customer account before a service can be provisioned or renewed.
- We currently accept PayPal, credit/debit card, Sofortüberweisung and Paysafecard. We may add or remove payment methods at any time.
- Credit balances are non-transferable and non-withdrawable to external accounts.
6. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers in the UK/EU)
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from this Agreement without giving any reason.
However, you expressly request immediate performance of the digital service; therefore, once provisioning begins you lose the right to withdraw under regulation 34(1) of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
This does not affect the 48-hour money-back guarantee in section 7.
7. Refund Policy
- 48-Hour Guarantee. You may cancel any new service within 48 hours of the initial order for a full refund to your original payment method, except where paid by Paysafecard.
- Paysafecard payments and recurring renewal charges are non-refundable.
- You are responsible for cancelling any active PayPal or Microsoft/Xbox automatic payments.
8. Service Levels, Maintenance & Support
- We aim to provide 99 % annual uptime. Scheduled maintenance or events outside our reasonable control (including network outages, force-majeure events or third-party failures) are excluded.
- Where possible, maintenance is performed during off-peak hours with prior notice sent to your account e-mail.
9. Customer Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
- You must use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and must not host or transmit: extremist or terrorist content, child sexual abuse material, pornography that is illegal in the UK, copyrighted works without consent, malware, or any content that encourages violence or discrimination.
- Only one free-tier server is permitted per individual or network. Any abuse, including use of leaked or pirated mods/plugins, will result in immediate suspension and permanent loss of free-tier eligibility.
- You must maintain adequate backups of your data. We are not responsible for loss or corruption of data except where caused by our wilful misconduct.
10. Suspension & Termination
- We may suspend or terminate Services immediately if you: (a) fail to maintain sufficient prepaid credit, (b) breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or (c) materially infringe a third-party right.
- Upon termination your data may be deleted irreversibly. We are under no obligation to retain it.
11. Intellectual Property
All software, branding and documentation provided by ConnectHosting remain our property or that of our licensors. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them solely for the purpose of accessing the Services.
12. Warranties & Disclaimers
Except as expressly set out in these Terms, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under law.
- For breach of a material contractual obligation due to simple negligence, our liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages (ordinarily the value of 12 months’ service fees).
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages.
- The above limits apply equally to our employees, agents and subcontractors.
14. Amendments
We may modify these Terms to reflect changes in law, technology or business practice. We will give at least 14 days’ notice by e-mail. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Agreement and any dispute arising out of it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction.
